The Challenge
Following their initial B Corp certification in 2021, Klyk was preparing for recertification and aimed not only to meet the new requirements but to improve on their original score. To do this, they sought an experienced partner to guide them through the process and help identify areas for improvement.
In addition to recertification, Klyk was also preparing to publish its first Impact Report, a key B Corp requirement and a valuable opportunity to communicate its mission, achievements, and progress to clients, partners, and investors. With limited internal capacity, the team brought in B·ABLE to lead the end-to-end process and ensure the report was both impactful and aligned with their brand.
The Solution
We began the recertification process by running a series of deep-dive workshops, focusing on each of the five B Corp impact areas - Governance, Workers, Community, Environment, and Customers. These sessions allowed us to explore what had changed since Klyk’s original certification, assess current practices, and identify where additional points could be gained. Through these collaborative sessions, we helped the team understand how their evolving operations could translate into stronger impact performance.
Following the workshops, we requested and reviewed supporting documentation across all topic areas to validate responses and strengthen the submission. Once all improvements were identified and documentation gathered, we prepared Klyk’s updated B Impact Assessment, and guided the team through each stage of the recertification process.
In parallel, we led the development of Klyk’s first Impact Report. Through a series of collaborative workshops, we built a deep understanding of their voice, values, and the core messages they wanted to communicate. From these insights, we crafted a compelling narrative to showcase their impact journey and achievements to date. The final report was clear, visually engaging, and aligned with Klyk’s brand, serving as a strong asset for external communications.
The Results
Klyk successfully completed its first B Corp recertification, and now has a stronger business-wide understanding of the BIA framework. The process helped embed longer-term thinking across the team, driving improvements to governance, operations, and impact measurement.
Klyk’s Impact Report provided a clear and compelling summary of their journey so far, highlighting their progress, showcasing their values, and serving as a powerful tool for stakeholder engagement and brand visibility. Sustainability is now more deeply woven into the way Klyk communicates as a business.
